This video of the Texas Sesquicentennial Wagon Train was shot by librarian Nelda Nance of the Denton Public Library. The first section of the video shows the caravan passing along Elm Street at the intersection of Parkway in Denton on June 24, 1986. A building called Denton Trim can be seen in the background is now the location of Sleeping Lizards. The TWU towers can also be seen in the background. The next scenes take place at the campground site which was located at Denia Park. Various close-ups are taken of different wagons. Then the next scene shows the stage area where a band called The Echoes plays country and western music. Shots of the crowd and a couple square dancing. An announcer discusses the wagon train and the those involved. Denton County Judge, Hon. Buddy Cole is the second speaker followed by Mayor Ray Stephens, who reads the official proclamation. The film ends abruptly.
