This is the Italian version of Windows XP Professional. This version is almost no different from the international releases, the main difference being that the built-in game Minesweeper was censored to include flowers instead of mines. This happened following a campaign to ban the game, known as the "International Campaign to Ban Winmine." Led by Sergio Chiodo, the campaigns goal was to get Microsoft to change the mines to flowers, as he thought it was offensive to minefield victims....

Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is a 64-bit version of Windows XP, which is based off of Windows Server 2003. While it is based off of Windows Server 2003, it includes features not found on that system. It can also run AMD64 based hardware. It also supports more the 4GB of RAM unlike previous Windows XP editions. This makes Windows XP Professional x64 Edition the first 64-bit operating system added to VDI World. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 adds a new theme by default, as well as its biggest addition: Windows Media Center. Windows Media Center can play DVD movies, music CDs (it can even recognize the albums artwork,) television (if a TV tuner card is installed to the computer,) radio (if a radio tuner card is installed,) and it can even burn images and videos to CDs and DVDs. Windows Media Center would later become a main feature in Windows Vista (Home Premium and Ultimate editions only) and...

The disk images are from September 1985, while some of the photos are likely from June 1985, and another set of floppy disks from January 1986 was found. Strange. Now, with...

Okay, this is the second release in the "BetaWave" I am doing to celebrate betas of Windows. The Release Candidate 6 of Windows 3.0 was compiled 1 - 2 months before the final release of Windows 3.0. It contains most of the stuff in the final version, however some files are different from the final version. NOTE: To start up Windows, wait for "C:\" to appear on the DOS prompt, then type "win" (without the quotes) and Windows will start up.

This is a beta of Windows 1.0. It contains different programs from the final version, such as Cube, which is a simulation of a 3D cube, Puzzle, a second game to go along with Reversi, and so much more. Explore for yourself! This is the first release in the "BetaWave" project I am working on, where I will upload different betas from the early days of Windows, and you may even see some non-Windows uploads in this project! Stay tuned!

This is a beta build of Windows 3.1. Compiled on April 5, 1991, a whole year before release, almost every mention of Windows 3.0 has been replaced with Windows 3.1. It also features a very early Windows logo, which is a literal window. Windows 3.1 had not yet gotten updated programs to match Windows 3.1, so programs such as Reversi, which was replaced by Minesweeper in the final version, are present.
