* NOTE * This item contains fewer songs than it used to because I've started selling some of them at http://quiethorn.com. Go there to check them out and maybe buy them!
These songs are some ambient and fourth world dub songs I've done in the last couple years. Some of them are similar to my improvised ambient trombone works and were originally improvised but were edited or added to afterwards, and others are kind of fourth worldy dubby, similar to Jon Hassell's music, I guess. He's been very influential the last couple years as has an album by Kurt Rosenwinkel called "Heartcore" and an album Alva Noto did with Ryuichi Sakamoto called "Insen," so there are vague traces of those things, I guess.
Also, the bass and guitar on John Coltrane's "Equinox" were played by Jopy at www.jopyjopyjopy.com.

I really like this stuff
I don't know how I came across this, but of all the things that I have checked out on Internet Archive, this is one of the few pages I keep coming back to. Then I saw that no one has reviewed this and I felt that I should.
At first I thought this collection was a bit too much like Hassell's fourth world music (though I liked it instantly). However, the author is being quite upfront here about his influences, and he does a fine job of what he has set out to do.
This is nice and interesting stuff. Sometimes it is pretty, but certainly not always. That's not the point. The pieces wander through varying moods which is to it's credit.
