KCSM radio host Alisa Clancy on her Morning Cup of Jazz show (6-10am) on Thanksgiving 11/23/2017. Alisa spent 30-plus years spinning records for jazz fans, until she signed off in her final show on 7/2/2021. KCSM 91.1 is the Bay Area's Jazz Station, from San Mateo.
Although many of the other KSCM DJs had previously worked at KJAZ (which went off the air in 1994), she started her professional radio career at KCSM. “I called Clifford Brown (KCSM Program Director), and he invited me in and gave me a show - that night,” she said.
That was 1988, and Clancy charmed KCSM listeners on her morning show until her retirement last year. Thanks for Mark Rabin for sharing this from his collection.
