1) A faint, warbly sound begins during Eyes onward, apparently from the sound system since the AUD has a similar effect.
2) Several brief cuts were in both SBD and AUD, but did not overlap, making the show now complete.

If you want the crowd but less of it between songs and more board during the songs, you may like my copy. Also, if you prefer the jams and medleys not to be pieced up with track changes, you may prefer my copy. Finally, if you can only download ZIP files, you will like mine as long as it doesn't get pulled. Otherwise, I recommend this Hunter Seamons copy over all others.

Set 1 - It's really impossible to separate the voodoo of the first performance of Terrapin from the actual playing of the tune, so let's just say it's great, shall we? :) The Playin' medley at the end is swirling, wowing psychedelic fun - a perfect closer to the set. The 2nd set is so famous that this Playin' is often overlooked.
In the middle we have: "Bob! Bob! Bob Weir! Mexicali Blues! BoB! BOB! Bob! Weir! Bob Weir! Mexicali Blues! Mexicali Blues! BOB! Bob Weir!" Seriously, someone needs to muzzle that stoned doofus. I love your matrices, HS, but that guy really curls my spine. If you want, skip the last minute or two of the tuning on a lot of the tracks in this first set - the digital equivalent of "moving away from that dude."
Set 2 is impossible for me after all these years to look at objectively, but I think it's safe to say it's a masterpiece, the first taste of the magic of '77 and that transition from the Stomp to Dancin' *still* gives me the chills - man oh man, this is good music! This Slipknot jam has got to be one of the most-listened to tracks in all my years with the Dead.

So priceless to hear the audiences initial reaction to the first Terrapin. Cocky at first, thinking a familiar opener will stir their fancy, then sublime confusion, them practically silent until the transition into inspiration which gets a deserving roar of applause.
This show was always a five star show, but what we have here is a five star matrix that brings back all of what being at this show could possibly display on recording.

Thank you for putting this one together, Hunter. I've really fallen out of 77 in the last couple of years, but this and 3/19 are 2 that I can never tire of. Sure there are some May and October shows I dig, but 2/26 is the primary building block for any self-respecting collector of 1977 Grateful Dead to begin with.
I really like the overall sound, I was almost expecting it to be a little more aud-heavy than it is. I'd like to hear the aud by itself, I hope we find that one available soon. As it is, I think there is a really nice balance between the two here. I usually prefer a sbd heavy matrix, so this one is right up my alley.
