Tracks in the Distance is a collaborative project of three members of the Infinite Sector Collective: klao DNA, Mystified, and Rolling Calf Sinfonette. Each in their individual ways set out to create ambient and electronic tracks utilizing rhythmic and other idioms of eastern/exotic musical forms... listeners will notice that, though styles shift and sounds differ, a unifying element of exotic percussion is present in these 9 pieces.

Think of the sounds of a dentist's office. Imagine an album based on these sounds and the concept of dentistry. This is such an album. The sound of drills, drool catchers and such, turned into drones, bizarre sequences, percussive loops and all sort of of wonderful noises, accompanied by the occational synthline and beat. KRUFT! is a collaboration between two members of the infinite sector collective : "Swamps Up Nostrils" (based in Trondheim, Norway) and "boron jive leper"...

The music is closest comparable to music made by bands like Ulver, Twine and Caul. excerpt from the story: "I close my mind for their reply. Machines... More than technology to help us through the day, they also have a sense of personality. If you don't believe this compare in your mind the machines from, say, the 1920s to those from today-- think of your cell phone, then the Goldbergian monstrosity Bell invented. Doesn't this difference mark the character of 2 diffferent eras? This EP by Mystified looks back, sometimes a decade, and sometimes as far as a century, to machines of the past, and the sounds they might make in our minds.
