Continuing its reputation for generating emerging new sounds, San Francisco based Heavy Silver prepares the world for the sound of the New Millenium. The first release by Heavy Silver, Told Ya is a culmination of efforts by John Lamana to bring a new, refreshing sound to the rock of the 90's. Lamana's screaming flute-fronted compositions, backed up by the dynamic rhythms of drummer Doug Weldy, Peruvian guitarist Julio Lujan, and bassist Shane Peterson shakes the status quo. Appealing to rock and instrumental music fans, Told Ya tells us where it's at.
Producers Chris Collins and Greg Forsberg of Youth Engine Productions (Undercover S.K.A., Jimmy Two-Times) ensured that the power of the work is captured in it's crisp master recording.
This is the second recording by Lamana; his last being an acoustic release with the trio Flesh, Wood & Silver entitled Elysian Fields in 1993. Bonehead Records, newcomer to the indie label scene, plans on distribution through independent music distributors and seeks more bands with unique sounds to record and promote.
