After two years the second full release of Idhren, »Klint«, follows his great and also notably debut EP on the meanwhile disfunct greek netlabel »Digilog«. While this former release was clompletely swimming in downtempo, on to open structured ambient, »Klint« now consists of increasing IDM, always containing a calm and harmonic core. From time to time, melancholic extensiveness says hello.
Idhren's release on digilog could had been released on Phonocake then, if we would have realised his email that time. Due to a fortune, we met and started to hold him in high regard later, during a liveact in the Heidemühle in Dresden. A fairly long time passed by since this, but now, after explorations in the sound of new worldwide friends, we come back to local areas around us.

Recently I unearthed an old folder of mp3’s. Klimt by Idhren was amongst the music on it. ( I guess the title is inspired by Møns Klint, which is as beautiful as the music here ) I truly had forgotten how good this album is. Sometimes slightly melancholic, sometimes upbeat melodic IDM. Rhythmically interesting yet still mellow. A warm, friendly, possibly timeless sound. Highly recommended!

Truly wonderful. I urge any ambient/idm/electronic music lover to give this a listen. Each track is wonderfully crafted and the album is so solidly produced it hurts.
Amongst the glitches, beeps and pads - Noi Amino is my favourite track.
