Not much to see here except Kim Novak.
She looks ripe enough to eat in this otherwise ordinary story of a plainclothes detective gone bad. She's paired unconvincingly opposite a drab, rather sullen Fred McMurray, while straight arrow Phil Carey pursues good girl Dorothy Malone in a parallel, uplifting relationship, complete with sentimental background music, that's presumably there for dramatic contrast but does nothing to enliven the movie..
