Secret Beyond the Door is a 1947 American film noir psychological thriller and a modern updating of the Bluebeard fairytale, directed by Fritz Lang. The film stars Michael Redgrave, Anne Revere and Joan Bennett and was produced by her husband Walter Wanger.

Distraught marital thriller.
"Rebecca" meets "Spellbound." Husband has spooky, homicidal moods because of something concealed deep in his childhood. A little over the top psychoanalytically speaking, but hey, what's an insatiable, inexplicable craving without Freud? Top drawer mystery and suspense, music and cinematography.
Fritz Lang and Joan Bennett, perfect together.
