hi, sal. >> good morning, rosemary. we have a lot of slow traffic, a couple of major incidents have closed lanes. this is a look at westbound interstate 80. it's taking almost an hour to drive from the carquinez bridge to the maze. the big reason is an accident involving a motorcycle westbound 80 here at pinole valley road. that has actually made traffic terrible and a lot of the slow traffic getting from the carquinez bridge. as a matter of fact, the traffic is backed up on the bridge, sig alert. once you make it to the bay bridge, the bridge traffic is okay. crash on the offramp of the bridge partially blocking that carpool lane. if you look at the carpool lane, you see the flashing lights. cars are not getting through quite as they would because of all the emergency vehicles here at the toll plaza. you see it in the middle on the right, all the flashing lights, causing a big delay. if you're taking the carpool into san francisco, will be a delay because of that injury crash. other things i want to mention we have a n

i'm rosemary connors. donald trump's win tonight ramps up his momentum. south carolina has picked the republican nominee in all but one election since 1980. he scored a commanding victory tonight, picking up 33% of the primary votes. marco rubio finished in second place with 23%. and ted cruz rounds out the top three with 22%. in nevada, hillary clinton is celebrating a narrower victory tonight. she picked up 53% of the vote compared to bernie sanders at 47%. nbc 10 national correspondent steve handelsman has reaction from tonight's winners and losers. >> reporter: it's the second victory in a row for the national republican frontrunner, donald trump's first in the south. >> when you win it's beautiful. and we're going to start -- we are going to start winning for our country. let's go. let's have a big win in nevada. let's have a big win at the s.e.c. let's put this thing away! but as they cast their ballots, mainstream republicans flocked to marco rubio, powering the 44-year-old's comeback from fifth in new hampshire. >> tonight here in south carolina t

drew, another shelter opened up. >> that's right, rosemary. churches have been taking turns opening sanctuaries and meeting rooms. right here people getting ready to head inside. this is a busy day for churches. they are trying to make it available because when wind blows it does sting. earlier this morning volunteers with friendship house served a hot breakfast for 150 people. they wanted to open early, for good reason. the place filled to capacity around 5:00. organizers tell us they served more than 1,000 cups of coffee. they are not just helping with food and drink. they want to make sure people have the right extreme cold weather gear. >> we gave away 400 pairs of gloves, 200 pairs of socks. we gave away hats. that will do it. it keeps people sur. >> survival is what we want out here. that's why they have offered up services here. many churches. if you want to find a place 211 here in this state. we've been out here and only a few minutes between jumping in our truck here. it's so cold it's almost hard to form words. that gives you and id
