Inspired by the 70ies porn-soundtracks of Andrew Sherman and Peter Thomas your favorite teacher in history BHL collected boundary points of pop, culture, pop culture and porn. The result is a concept album with a plentitude of possible interpretations. Using typical pop-sounds and pop-structures there are hit singles, eighties references, acapella-techno and (of course) cover versions. The exhibitionism of pop and porn culminates in the last track, where BHL moons. Big thanks to Stephan and...

This Single is a preview of BHL's next Album (planned for 2013). Here are only samples of records who are (because of its age) signed as public domain. Some of the sounds are 100 years old, some are just produced for this release... so you can find influences of Jazz, Swing, Trip Hop and Techno at the same time. Respect to all original artists, especially to Vera Lynn. These songs are BHL's 50 Cents about copyright law. Download the whole single.

At the traditional music-industry releasing a "Best of"-compilation is milking the (sometimes already dead) artist-cow twice, e.g. the upcoming one by Madonna or the actual of Michael Jackson. So why releasing a "Best of" for free download? It's simply the huge output of the open minded ever-changing live electronic music collective Esthing. Established in 1999 they recorded already 155 albums, summarized now to this 157-minutes-release. Just another extraordinary release at...

Weisskalt/Blauwarm becomes 30! Instead of a midlife-crisis Wk/Bw presents the well known artist Kiddo with his third release on Weisskalt/Blauwarm. His sound stays dark and warm (reminding to John Tejada), but this time he slows down (in comparison to his former releases) for the most tracks. Using fragile beats he deliverances the expanse of your mind. Only "The Moan Of The 8 Blades" shows his capability to create straight tracks: a peak-time-smasher.

The sixth release comes from Indonesia and is the world's smallest concept album. It is about a broken love. First of all there is the refused love in "StAiN" followed by the defiant "U Could Leave Me Now". After this comes an offended "Go Away" from the disappointed associate. Before the international beauty can embrace the world with a self confident "Hello Lizards" is the fight for carthasis in "Stage 35".

After three EPs and some sampler contributions (& Remixes) BHL releases his first album. It contains alternating faster and slower electronic music with a baroque caesura in the middle of the album. As the name "Melancholie und Alltag" antedates, the album is full of references, but due to the fact it is more fun to find them autonomous, there will be only one explained. The title "Smells like Kraut Fireballs" is on the one hand a homage to Luis de Funés and his film...

As Weisskalt/Blauwarm has a faible for failed pathos catalogue number 13 is obliged to be a little scary. What a luck that Strangelette can do that. "Nightmarish Music From Outer Space" is exactly what the title says. Think of Beetlejuice commanding on Space Patrol Orion. Dark Electro always with a little wink. It's influenced by computer games without reducing to chiptune sounds. The Cover is already printable sized as .pdf at the bottom.

This is the second part fitting to Unsaid's "2nd Side A" [Wk/Bw 014]. It is a little more electronic than the first part. The music retrieves your memories of sunsets in the past while the wind whispers in the willows. So welcome a marvellous voice singing to laxly beats and exhilarant sounds.

The fifth Weisskalt/Blauwarm release comes from Italy. § did some dark music. It starts with the slow electro-track "Cactus", acanthaceous as to assume by the title. The second track continues with this mood, but a small nearly euphoric melody joined the murky face. The title-track slows down again. "Mushrooms" gets warmer and frisky. Some grating beats giving it an insecure frame. At the end "Strobo Disco" takes the listener to a slow-motioned scene in a...

Labelfounder BHL did the first release for Weisskalt/Blauwarm. It starts with a reminiscence to The Prodigy's album "Fat Of The Land". The german title is a ribald translation of it. So there are Hip Hop-beats, bass and inconvient, frightening sounds. The second track is a nearly 15 minutes lasting, dirty but at the same time fragile downbeat-journey. "Fernhart & Branca (Weisse Mäuse Sehen)" continues with dirt & fragility. It adds broken beats and plays with the...

Cool as the dark backside of the moon is Subroute Rootâs trip to another galaxy. Itâs more difficult to catch his sound in words than his fellow countryman Attila Ambrus by police. Inspiring, soulful, melodious and a little dirty. You will see the world with different eyes if you are lion-hearted enough to get into these sounds. Waldfee is a nearly daft alter ego of BHL. The four tracks should put the listeners in a good temper. For that reason Waldfee experiments not only with sounds but also with lyrics. The first song is a nearly conventional electro-pop-track. It plays with the radio-pop-scheme "strophe-chorus-strophe-chorus-chorus-bridge-chorus". At the same time tempo of the chours is bisected to the strophe and the bridge is half the tempo of the chorus. The lyrics are reduced to one sentence....

Sometimes when more people are in the same place (like the postal office which is the soundscape in âHad macaroonsâ) the traces are mixed and overlapped in an apparent chaos, more defined are the traces left behind a couple talking in a hotel room (like the protagonists of Ernst Lubitschâs âTroubles in paradiseâ who are featured in...
