We interviewed the Tranzmitors back on Tuesday May 8th, 2011 when they were in town to play a show at Parts and Labour. The Tranzmitors are a Toy Dolls inspired mod punk band from Vaancouver who are about to release their tenth release. Sabotage first came not my radar through the promoter of the Curasbun Oi show. Curasbun are from Santiago, Chile and I think would be the first punk band from Chile to play Toronto. Sabotage are a band from Toronto featuring mostly kids of Colombian descent and they were opening up the show. Arson are a punk band from Toronto that started out back in 1977. The broke up back in 1980, but have reformed in 2010 for a memorial show for one of their guitarists Chick Parker. This line up features original members Rudi Tuesdai on vocals and Marcel La Fleur on guitar. Shawna is playing bass and Tim Timleck is drumming. The Pedestrians were an awesome punk band from Chicago around 2005.Jordan was the singer and he went on to start a great label called Residue Records. Cissie was the bassist and she went on to be the editor at MRR for a couple of years. Brad played guitar and david played drums. The Rebel Spell are Williams lake BC. The band toured through Toronto in 2006 (October 29th) and we recorded a session in Studio 3. The band features Todd on vocals, Erin ion guitar, Chris on bass, and kris on drums. Fred Sopek recorded the session and Stew Ogilvie mastered the sound files. Urban Blight are an incredible hardcore band from Toronto. They have a heavy Boston influence and incorporate an SSD and negative FX worship in with songs about the city. This session will be airing with a live interview on Sunday December 5th, 2010. the session was recorded on Tuesday November 30th by Jonathon Hawkes.

Put to Shame were a band featuring Mark Davidson formelry of Hockey Teeth on vocals, Jeremy and Roddy on guitar, Craig on bass, and Anthony on drums. Chronic Submission were an incredible hardcore band in the Toronto punk scene. Recently they got back together and recorded a session to broadcast on CIUT. This recording took place on Tuesday September 21st, 2010. They session was recorded in Studio 3 at CIUT. The session was recorded and mastered by Jonathon Hawkes. This is the annual punk Christmas show on Equalizing-X-Distort. EXD is a weekly hardcore punk radio show h=broadcast on CIUT 89.5FM. The Christmas show has been hosted by Dave Stevenson the past few years in keeping with the tradition that Pete from Hits and Misses started.
