My SO is into crocheting and knitting (amongst other crafts) and I thought I'd help her by providing something to keep her k knitting needles in their pairs. I decided to stick with mm measures as the numbering system seems a bit odd to me.

Print 2 of everything. I have included the stl files and the Autodesk Inventor files incase you would like to change anything. Insert tip 1 into the tube. Then thread wire or string through the whole on the tip of tip 2, tie a knot so the string can not come back out. Next, insert the tip with the string into the other side of the tube. Repeat with the other end of the string on the second tip 2 and insert in the second tube and attached the second tip 1 on the other end.

I decided to stick with mm measures as the numbering system seems a bit odd to me. Be careful how you print them, I had trouble printing the 2.5mm ones, in the end I needed to print with supports, just to give it enough of a footprint to secure it to the build plate.

I wanted something on my desk that was not huge, bright red and with bio hazard signs on it for my diabetic pen needles so I came up with this. It has a needle bender for both ends of the needle cap, one is just a hole, lay the needle at an angle so the needle sits on the plastic then push the cap end into the hole. The internal needle stub just lay the needle itself on the slope then push the cap down and it is now bent and out of the way. I always bend over the outside but always worried that...

Do you hate double pointed needles? Stave off the inevitable with these short circular needles. The needle portion is curved to allow you to knit comfortably with a very short overall length. I've posted two needle sizes (5mm and 6mm) and two overall lengths (230mm and 285mm) . On the 230mm length set, I can easily do 30 stitches and maybe even get down to 25. Designed to be printed with 0.2 mm layer. To make color digits use "Pause at height" (Cura) option and replace filament after 6th layer and back after 7th layer. (Assuming 0-9 layers at all.) May be needed to drill the smaller holes.
