This is not my design, I just found it and felt like sharing. Original upload: https://tinkercad.com/things/2m5bVEKUGTe "This rocket carried the first American into space (Alan Shepard) in 1961" - camerongoddard (the guy who originally uploaded this) NOTE: I just noticed that one of the fins is not attached to the rocket when printed.

The mysterious engineer is George Abbey, who had a 37 year career at the space agency and was in charge of selecting astronauts between 1978 and 1987. Eventually rising to director of the Johnson Space Center, Abbey also headed a diversity initiative that led to women and minorities going into space. Link to YouTube version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7hpU9pV3N8 Video created by Scott Manley . Rights to the gameplay footage belongs to Martin Schweiger. Orbiter is a free spaceflight simulator, it's got much more detail on the actual flying and vehicles than KSP, but lacks the building and real time rigid body physics that provide so much entertainment in KSP. But if you want to experience real spacecraft then it's probably a better choice Orbiter is developed by Martin Schweiger...

I recommend printing this vertical (prints faster with higher detail) with the pre-placed breakaway supports. I made this by tracing the logo in Fusion 360 and then spent too too much time cleaning up the Space Shuttle Orbiter model to make it work for this design.

This is the Gemini capsule and service modules from the 1960's program that let us learn everything we needed to know for the Apollo program. I found the basic model in sketchup from the Trimble site (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=13ddfafa0b41d8f77550eb58de5306fc&prevstart=48). The model does not have the kind of detail I would like for printing but unlike many of the other models I found it was actually round as opposed to faceted. At some point I may go back and add...

Made myself a NASA logo for an art wall collage thing and realised that I didnt have a Roscosmos one. Couldn't find one online so bishbashbosh Fusion360 time. The model is rather small so scale it to the size you wish to use, I printed the one in the picture with a 90mm diameter. All of the features are at a different height in equal proportions so you can make them as thick as your filament needs to show nicely.
