The Mods were a four piece back in the first wave of the Toronto punk scene. They released a killer ep called "Step out Tonight" and a retrospective CD called "Twenty Two Months" came out on OPM. The band appeared in Colin Brunton's seminal film "The Last Pogo". Greg Dick did an interview with guitarist Scott Marks and drummer David Quinton on their 30th anniversary from the band's first gig and tright before their first reunion. MRR published the piece and this is...

This is a scan of a handbill for the Toronto band SLORC. The date on the flyer is Aug. 26, 2000. About this archive: Before the internet was invented, I used to read a lot of music magazines, zines and papers. I would compulsively cut out and save everything I would find on bands I liked, and I have a few scrapbooks full of things I've collected. It is now 20-30 years later, and I have decided to upload what I have, and preserve it online at archive.org. Much of what I have may now be rare...

Civil Disobedience is a Toronto punk fanzine. I think members of Youth Youth Youth partially because there is a youth youth youth logo on the cover and partially because I remember the guitarist, Rob, told me about this zine. But I have never seen a copy until this one that Dhaibid James of Moondog Ballroom loaned me to scan. This issue came out in 1981, but I have no clue as to which month. This is another issue of Smash It Up that came out somewhere in the fall of 1980. The editorial on the second mentions that this is the eigt issue to come out in the year so I imagine it would have been out in September or October. It was a provocative thing to do given that 1980 was the height of the Cold War being played out through a nuclear arms race. The zine plays up like a...
