Ten For Tuesday is a podcast dedicated to playing the music I couldn.t find anywhere else. The music I like varies from style to style, genre to genre and era to era. You will hear punk, ska, rock, Americana, metal, country, rockabilly and more from all over the world. It doesn.t matter if it.s a major label or indie as long as I like it then it gets played. The motto is Less Talk More Music which means you won.t hear me waxing poetic for fifteen minutes between songs. At TFT it.s all about the...

August 27, 2013 12:18 PM PDT As I was rummaging around on my external hard drive I came across two Cd's from a collection called Lost 80s and I started saying this song could go with this one and this one and so on and so on. Within a few minutes I had ten songs selected and a few more minutes after that I had the order identified and that quickly a new episode was on it's way. If you love 80s music you should remember most of these and hopefully you're not too sick of them. Luckily (?) for me...

Set Two showcases Rod Stewart ; in particular the album “ Never A Dull Moment ”, which was released 21 July 1972 ( almost exactly 50 years ago ). Set Three is a Blast from The Past with a sampling of artists on the great Stiff Records label. The fourth and final set consists of Bobs & Bonzos, in the form of 30 minutes of songs from The Bobs,...

Originally this was going to be a show featuring music beds used on the show and some candidates for future music beds. However, as soon the soundtracks in the collection heard about what was going on, they began pushing their way into the show. Once that occurred, the rock and country instrumentals began demanding equal time. This happened in rehearsal and when it was time to record the show, the same thing happened all over again. So what we have here is a mixture of things used as music...

You can blame or thank DJ Mike for this one. He was viewing the film "High Fidelity" and got an idea from the challenge Jack Black's character poses to John Cusack's character, to create a "top five" list of the best Side One, Track One songs. DJ Mike's idea is thus: create a show entirely based on songs that were the first track on side two of a number of great records. The term "records" is interesting, as this list has no songs after the year 1989. Why? Vinyl...

We return to the One Hit Wonders of the 1960s with part three, covering the years 1967-1969. According to wikipedia, a "One Hit Wonder" can be defined as a person or act known mainly for only a single success. The term is most often used to describe music performers with only one hit single. More commonly, however, one-hit wonders are serious-minded musicians who struggled to continue their success after their popularity waned. Because one-hit wonders are popular for only a brief...

Yes, June is indeed bustin' out all over and the whirled is going bonkers. But you know that. One remedy is to listen to lots of music; and that's precisely what we have in store for you this week. The first set is an attempt to "Cool" things down, the second set commences with a severe case of the shakes then segues into some other things. The third and fourth sets take the pace up a few notches. Hope you like the show and consider coming back next time for more. See you in July...

Home Skillet: a term of endearment - "Word up, my home skillet". A good friend, someone you are familiar with. Also the name of this program, which commences with two hours of songs left over from "Where The Story Begins" (1 March 2014), then moves into two hours of instrumentals! A little bit of this, that and the other, as promised. Thanks for your continued interest in The El Wayno Loco Show! Music in this program is from Jeff Lynne, The Vaughan Brothers, Ray Davies,...

Now coming to you in m4! DJ Mike returns with another interesting concept : the famous "mix tape" circa 1978-1985. That's very specific, folks. As per usual, DJ Mike has made me work by sending me three hours of music for a four hour program. Consequently, this show should be a bit of a surprise for DJ Mike, myself, and all you kind listeners. To explain the concept, this is DJ Mike's "attempt to recreate some of those mix tapes that we listened to way back in the 80s - when you...

The title to this show is a bit of a misnomer; there's more than Country and Western on this program. There's some 60s and 70s Rock and contemporary Rock in the second set. Things begin to revert back to Americana (whatever that is to you) in the third and fourth sets. Music in this show is from The Cactus Blossoms, The Bellfuries, The Beatles, JD McPherson, Chris Isaak, Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives, Dwight Yoakam, Dale Watson, The Derailers, Nick Lowe, Rodney Crowell, Dave...
