'I was in a bush, when I heard lot of sounds (a dog, some sheeps and goats and donkeys, and lot of bells). I went in the direction of the sounds and suddenly the dog started bark. I was near him and in few minutes we was friends. After an hour the shepherd arrived, because an imminent storm; he was a bit upset because of the dog was not aggressive with me. The shepherd, to shelter the sheeps, grew up the fence, but the sheeps was used to the old small fence. Only the goats and the donkeys went...

Our second guest release from Mystified, "Puzzle Street" is a follow up to his previous release "Sidewalk Salad", and it's a natural one. Many of the same themes are continued in this release, the manipulation of real-world sounds and the simple, sometimes microscopic recording of sounds for their own sake. Subdued beats and basslines give some tracks a relaxed classic Mystified feeling. The ambience created by the use of field recordings gives the album an overall feeling...

At the beginning of 2009, I worked on an unachieved piece, half of a piece in a perspective of collaboration with Kekap Tuyul (Pura Sombar). At that time, I used to work in a museum and cultural centre where water was one of the main topics. Knowing my interest for music, I have been sponsored by the museum to create a piece for the exhibition. Lacking time to devote on this project, I decided to use this half piece I just finished, which contained by chance some themes and noises related to...

Conv is proud to present "Winter Sunday", a five track ep written and produced by Scott Taylor (Touch, Phonography, Sijis). Based on field recordings made in Barcelona (around the old cathedral), Paris (Notre Damme cathedral organ) and London, this work should be considered secular music in its basis and intent. These elements were elaborated and trasformed in organics compositions where each track developes a sound environment. Ambient, isolationism... quite space; on this recording...

In 2007, mystified ( www.mystifiedmusic.com) approached Seism ( www.myspace.com/seism666 ) and asked if he would be interested in creating a split audio project. Seism agreed, and sent 2 excellent tracks to mystified. Mystified added 2 of his own, and the split "mystified Versus Seism" was born. Phonography, radio as source, generative audio, granular synthesis and other experimental methods were used to create these tracks. We hope that you enjoy them!

In many places throughout the world, spring is well and truly setting in. We leave behind the cold and darkness of winter and welcome the lighter months ahead. Spring represents new life throughout the natural world and instills a more optimistic mood across mankind. Contributing an EP that fully encapsulates this, Portuguese field recorder LuÃs Antero contributes 'Life' to our catalog. The recordings were taken in two locations: Arganil and Oliveira do Hospital in Portugal. These were then...

Inspired by similar projects on the net, the electro-music.com Field Recording Project challenged users to create original compositions from the existing field rec archive. Participants were limited to field recordings as the only sound sources, but could chop, mutilate, and process with effects to the heart's desire. This is simply a creative project to celebrate our wonderful archive of sounds from around the world. More info @ electro-music.com . NOTE: random playback is encouraged.

"I was listening to Oriol Rosell's Per Fly on Audiotalaia which I found to be very good minimalistic drone album. The first track of Per Fly reminded me of a bank of lights in my home which I don't use due to their annoying emission of a faint high pitch tone. With this as a starting point, I began to think of what other drones were in my home soundscape; the sounds that are always there, but that I have conditioned myself to ignore. Home Drones is an experiment in listening to these...

Leading-edge ambient artist Seetyca has gifted Treetrunk with this excellent suite of 6 pieces. "The suite was recorded and mixed in October/November at Mbira v.04 studio by Seetyca, and mastering was by by Artin Mucht. This record was made by using samples of mystified and is dedicated to the time wasted by thinking about time running by." -- Seetyca. Note: The samples sent to Seetyca were phonographic in nature, and originated in the Saint Louis soundworld of mystified.

"Shadow of the Dolls," the second volume of the Ossicles series, is a phonographic meditation on doll consciousness, a term associated with the concept with ego death, but in this instance has to do with the perception of the undersized, the miniature, and the overlooked. An appreciation, or just the acknowledgement, of the small and undramatic. A celebration of the modest. I was interested in recognizing and personalizing the ordinary. I also wanted to consider the idea of the doll -...

Currently residing outside of Boston, the creator of the Sound Field Furrows conducts experiments in sound perception. The works on this disc were all created by organizing sounds recorded in the streets, at the ocean, in churches and across the globe. In these pieces, repitition and silence are the keys to focusing attention. Check out more information about this recording on it's Comfort Stand release page .
